Driver Cited with DUI, Downtown Las Vegas: Taxi and Shuttle Bus incident

Last week, a driver under the influence crashed a car into a taxi–critically injuring the driver–and then into an airport shuttle bus, injuring two more individuals.

Metro appeared on the scene around 1:50 a.m., at the intersection of Charleston and Las Vegas Boulevard. According to Metro spokeswoman officer Laura Meltzer, the cited driver had crashed into a taxi, sending it into a utility pole. The drunk driver’s car then spun around and hit the a shuttle bus.

The driver was cited for a DUI charge, and after medical clearing, metro awaiting booking.
